We don’t just launch products, we release products at different levels of innovation. Each formula begins in a lab: a collaboration between the Lipstick Lesbians, chemists, artists, and cultural disruptors. Once it reaches its early threshold - innovative, functional - it’s leaked into the world. Our community tests it in public. Shares it. Pushes it, for those that want to participate.

Every reaction, every review, every imperfect trial feeds back into our system, helping us determine whether a leak becomes a product or a prototype for something even greater.

Each item carries a Leak Number, a timestamp in the evolution of innovation. When a leak goes public, it becomes a part of beauty history, whether the industry is ready or not.

Before the platform, Alexis was working inside the beauty industry. Sitting in development meetings. Talking to labs. Watching how decisions were actually made and which ideas never made it out of the room. Christina was getting her doctorate in education technology, studying how humans learn best in digital environments.

Alexis learned early that innovation in beauty rarely fails because it’s bad.

It fails because it’s inconvenient. Too expensive, too risky. And there was Christina every step of the way asking Why?

Through years of evaluating products publicly and teaching beauty literacy online, we found ourselves in a rare position. We were insiders who understood how products were built, why they worked, and why so many didn’t.

Leaked Labs is what happens when you take everything we’ve learned over decades combining our passions and build a new model from scratch.

The future of beauty belongs in the open.
